Inspired By: mcpolish and The Lacquerologist

That awkward moment when your iPod take better pictures than your camera..

I have this old camera that is so crappy I can't take a good picture with it. Well, I can take pictures.. but only if the subject is far, very far. Very useful when you want to take pictures of your hand, huh?

My nails for the weekend were inspired by mcpolish and lacquerologist on Instagram. I first saw the recreation of mcpolish a couple weeks ago and loved it. It's only Friday that I decided to do them. She was inspired by The Lacquerologist so I went on her website and follow the tutorial she made. I think they turned out pretty well !

I know the quality of this photo is not the best, but for right now it's the only camera I have. This week I should get a better camera and hopefully make better photos!

Black Sheep Lacquer Subscription Box (May)

For my very first blog post, I want to talk about Black Sheep Lacquer.

She was one of my very first indie I bought when I decided that I was trusting someone I didn't know who lives across my country with my money. Black Sheep Lacquer is a Canadian indie polish maker, 3-free and Leaping Bunny Certified. How cool is that! You can use her polish safely and no puppy/bunny/kitty were harmed during the process!

Few months ago, she started a subscription box. Every month she will ship to you 2 bottles of nail polish and a mini no-name for 19$(CAD) if you're in Canada or 15$(US) if you're in the US.

This month the colors were picked from her new collection (Zelda-inspired)! I got Hero, Golden Power and Magic Mirror with the mini purple. Wait.... If you're smart, you noticed that there are more than 3 on the picture. But.. How? Well first thing first. I ordered the subscription box before and then she released the new collection. When I saw Dark Knight, I knew I had to had this one! So I bought this perfection in a bottle. With Purple Planet, because I was lusting after this one for months now.

Erin, who is so sweet, e-mailed me asking if I wanted to combine my 2 orders and have 1 more bottle of polish... Of course, I accepted. Who doesn't want a extra polish, huh? No one. That's right.

 I must confess that I was not one of those cool kids who played Zelda when I was younger. Even if I don't know exactly to what it refers I can say that they are pretty cool!

I am really excited to wear these beauties! Right now, I wear Dark Knight on my nails. Duochrome are the best thing created, just FYI.

Maybe I'll try to do swatches.. Just need to understand how my camera works haha!

A New Adventure!

Woah.

I finally made it. I create my  blog. I can't believe I actually did it.

This is a new project for me.. An exciting project, I must say! The idea of having my own blog was floating around in my mind for a while now.. There were so many questions I had to think and find the answer before finally taking the plunge!

Like .. what language would I use? Because, you know, reader, I'm a French Canadian..So English isn't my first language.. I thought about doing this blog in French, but after thinking about it for hours, I finally decided to use English.. Maybe because I wanted more people to understand me.. Soooo, it's going to be a great challenge for me!  (Excuse me for any mistakes I'll make in the future. Not my first language.)

What this blog would be about?

Nails. Nail polish. Our obsession. Mostly. Nail art when I can. Indie. Swatch.

I want somewhere where I can put all this. My iPod can't hold all this for very long (300 + pictures of nails, swatch, etc.), so I had to create my blog!
