40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Films

Hello, hello!

So excited for today! I was looking forward to this prompt for a moment and now it's heeeere!

Films are always fun to translate onto our nails! Last year, I did a mani inspired by The Hobbit and this year I'm going with Harry Potter.

Who doesn't love Harry Potter? No one. Amirite?

My first idea was a total fail and I am bummed about it, but I think my final mani is pretteh cool. My first idea was to do a "newspaper" mani with the Daily Prophet, but the images didn't want to transfer properly... Boo. :( After that I was looking at my nails and this idea popped up!

"I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good."

Yes. YES. The Marauder's Map. I did a really simple version of it and I LOVE IT. Ohmygod.

My fail is hidden under this mani muahaha. You can't see it, but I'm telling you. I was way too lazy to remove my nail fail and repaint my nail so I sponged my background over it. I think my laziness gives more depth to the mani #win.

I don't have much else to say... soo just admire ha. And I'll see you next week!

Happy polishing!

Born Pretty Store Review : Mermaid Scales Nail Vinyls

Hello, gorgeous people!

Today is review day! I received some times ago, three items from BPS and I haven't had time to make a proper review for a while. I initially was going to review two items at once, but then a tragedy happened (see here) and I decided to delay the review until my nail grow a little bit. Instead, I'll be talking about the third item.

MERMAID NAIL VINYLS. YESSS.

I LOVE mermaid nails. They always look so fabulous and with the nail vinyls, they are so easy to do!

I started with a black base and then sponged Respect (Glam Polish) and Tomoko (Zoya) over the nail vinyls. Voila! Aren't they gorgeous? So simple too.

Now. Let's talk about the BPS nail vinyls (id product: #23525), because that is kind of the point of this article. Right?

They come in a sheet with twelve vinyls, so you can use them for a whole mani and you would still have two (maybe for some accent nails later, who knows?) left. They are pretty big, so I guess you could use one nail vinyls two times if you placed it right. THEY ARE HOLOGRAPHIC. Not really "important", because they are going to the trash after you use them, but still pretty to the eyes when you use them. (Because who doesn't love holographic, riiiight?)

They were really easy to use, were sticky so you can get clean edges and they were thin so it doesn't looks too weird with the outline. I liked that it was also the right size for the "scales". Sometimes, makers make them really big and uh.. I don't like that much.

Overall the product was really great and I would totally recommend it!

What do you think? Do you like mermaid nails? Do you use nail vinyls? Tell me!

If you want to buy from BPS, I have a discount code for you: use "DEAEX31" at check out on items not already reduced for 10% off!

Happy polishing!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - 3 Shades of Purple + Stamped

Hello!

This week, the theme was 3 shades of purple and my personal prompt was stamped.

Some of you may know.. I can never get a good stamping for the life of me. So I thought : "Hey. Let's make some decals instead!"...YEAH...uh. Not so much.

My three purple were Daddy Issues (trust Fund Beauty), Rapunzel (FUN Lacquer) and Purple Monkey Dishwasher (Pretty Serious) if you want to know before we begin.

I went with only two fingers because. (Maybe because I knew what would happened...Mh.) I think my major problem with stamping is I have CURVED nails.. -_- Like, really curved nails so when I apply the decals it always "wrinkle" at the tips..

Anyone else have curved nails and have any advices? PLEASE, help a sister!

I hope you liked it anyways even though it was a bit of a fail haha. The intention was there... :P

Happy polishing!
