40GNAI - Neon + Waterfall

Hello, hello!

Today's what? Yup, yup. Time for another 40GNAI post!

The prompt was neon and my personal one was waterfall. I never did a waterfall mani in my life. I was not particularly attracted to them and I thought they were way to difficult to try. Well. I didn't really have a choice, so I tried.

I thought I could be clever and do a waterfall, like a real one. But it seems to much work haha. Maybe another time!

I used a black base (Out of the Darkness from Renaissance Cosmetics, sadly she's not making polishes anymore :( ), because I wanted to make the neons pop!

I, then, applied a guide for the half-moon (I'm kind of obsessed with half-moon mani lately..!) and with acrylic paint I roughly painted the waterfall.

After, I went over with the A Night In Vegas collection from Pipe Dream Polish in a rainbow order and then voilà! Not so bad looking, I think?

I hope you like it!

Happy polishing!

Watermarble with Girly Bits "Hoop! There It Is!" Collection

Hello!

I received not long ago the new collection from Girly Bits Cosmetics (some of it) and let me tell you. I FRAAAKING LOVE THEM.

They are inspired from the new favorite hobby of the GirlyBits chief: hula hoop! The collection is a total of 12 shades, I think? I only bought half of it. (Self control here haha).

Inspired By: SimplyNailogical's Neon Holo Jellies Skitttle

Hello!

Lately I bought the Neon Galaxy Set from Beyond The Nail (because of SimplyNailogical haha) and I was dying to do her neon holo jellies skittle.

I started by doing a clear to black gradient on my nails then applied a coat of the neon holo jelly. I was little bit impatient and not careful enough so it all smeared and it was a disaster. We couldn't see the gradient anymore! I wanted to do this mani too quickly so I guess this is my fault.

The next day, I started over with a white to black gradient, let it dried thoroughly and then, I applied a thin coat of different jelly on my nails. HALLELUJAH! It worked! I waited a few more minutes and went over the part where it had the white part of the gradient (I don't know if it makes sense haha) and applied a second coat of jelly.

It was really easy to do, I swear. Only a traditional gradient and two coat of holo goodness in jellies. I had to use all of my new Beyond The Nail's polishes, because they are so pretty!

The colors in the bottle don't really show the neon-ness, but you'll have to trust me, they are BRIGHT!

A shot of Mr.Thumb because we don't really see him often.

You see that holo sparkle. Me likey!

I hope you liked this mani. t was totally inspired by @simplynailogical, so all the credits go to her for being awesome and creating such cool manis!

Happy polishing!

Loaded Lacquer: Nail Mail of the Week

Hello to you, Reader!

Last week, I received a package from Loaded Lacquer at my mom's house. Since I moved out I have to wait to get my things. I was so excited when she brought it with her when she came to see me !

I bought three new polishes from Heather, maker of Loaded Lacquer, and I would have bought more.  I need to control myself when I shop on her site. Everything she makes is beautiful and well thought.

For today's pictures I tried to take them in my homemade light box I finally made yesterday. I didn't have something long and large enough to make all the height so you can see a line. Oh well. Perfection doesn't exist, huh. If everything goes as I planned I should have my ''real'' light box by Friday. Exciting. This nail thing is getting real!

Enough with the rambling. Onto the nail mail !

She changed her logo, it's less bling-y. I don't know which one I prefer, her new one or old one. Aren't they pretty all lined up?

Megalodon is a blue/grey crelly with triangle glitters (white and silver), hexagons (two different blues & silver) and flakes (lavender.) It is beautiful and I can't wait to wear it even if the Shark Week is over. I'm crazy like that.

No Bra is a light pink crelly. It's from the Nude Jiggle Trio. I only bought this one because I felt like the others two weren't really me even if the name were funny enough to consider to buy them. It looks so simple and chic. I'm glad I purchase this one.

Dragon Fruit is a crazy pink neon crelly. It's so bright in "real life". I couldn't get the right shade even if I try everything. This kind of color just doesn't want to be taken in picture. I feel like it's a summer shade. I'll probably wear this one in the middle of the winter when I'll get sick of the weather.

Loaded Lacquer is one of my favorite indie brand, because she brings something new every time she releases new polishes. Her combination and choice of color/finish is pure Genius! Do you own any Loaded Lacquer polishes? Which one is your favorite?

Happy polishing! I'll see you Thursday, Reader!
