Born Pretty Store's Review - Liner Brush & Nail Art

Heyah!

It's been a really long time since I came here. Three months, more or less.

Woah.

To be honest, I have been struggling with motivation and that last weekend was the first time in a really long time I felt like doing something more complex than simply painting my nails with one color. I guess the stress from work and my personal life drained all energy I had and I was incapable of doing something more than using one polish. But, now, I *think* I am back, for realz.

Sooo. A couple months back I received items to review from Born Pretty Store (I will have a review of the rest shortly) and the liner brush was part of the things I got. Since my motivation wasn't there I left them aside and wait until I was feeling better.

The liner brush came in a plastic tube (not shown on the pictures) for extra protection and really it's just a regular liner brush.

The hair is quite long, so it is really easy to draw lines with the brush. I had a little bit a problem with it at first, but honestly it was only because I hadn't done anything detailed lately.

I used the brush for the white lines (can you see I'm a bit shaky? lol) and it was really easy to work with it. I really liked the thickness of the line, you can do a define work if you're don't press too much on your nails.

This is the final look of the nail art I did with the Born Pretty Store's brush I was sent. I was please with how it turned out.

Overall, it's a good liner brush and I liked the quality of the product. I will definitely use it in my future manis.

Do you like the nail art I did?  Do you use nail art brush?

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Black & White + Skittles

Hello, lovely people!

TGIF! Today is Friday and you know what it means! Yes, this is the day where a bunch of nail artist girls from around the world present you the 40GNAI!

The prompt was black and white with a pattern assigned to each participants. Mine was skittles!
I just want to clarify something, I am not a skittle person. I like my nails to be the same or if I do a landscape that they come together as a whole. Sooo, I don't know if my skittle is pretty or original because I don't do them usually.

So here it is. My black and white skittle!

On my pinky is a coat of Clearly Spotted by Color Show Maybelline over a black base. For the middle and the ring finger I used some vinyls and create lines and geometric patterns. My index was handpainted to create a tile pattern (but it looks a little bit like drunk squares haha). Finally my thumb is just black, because I love black nails and I do what I want, nah.

(Sorry for the cat hairs.. They are always stuck on my nails and I never see them before I look at my pictures on my computer u_u")

So what do you think? Win or fail? :)

Happy polishing!

Black And White Geometric Nail Art

Hello!

Back with this geometric pattern I did a couple weeks ago! Initially when I started this pattern, it wasn't supposed to be done late in the night, but once I started I couldn't stop myself.

I just had to do all my nails NOW.

Pastel Bubbles and Stripes: A Look Inspired by Nailuminium

Hello!

Today, I have a nail art borrowed from Nailuminium on Instagram! She came with this idea, I'm just recreating because I admire her work!

I love the combination of pastel bubble and stripes! It creates something original!

What do you think?

Geometric Abstract Nail Art

Hello to you, Reader!

Will I see the end of my catch up one day? I don't know. Haha. I'm so behind my normal schedule. Until recently I had zero motivation for keeping the blog up and running but I'm trying to be more diligent with my posting. (Is diligent the right word?)

ANYYYWAAAYS.

Onto the nails.

I did an abstract geometric mani inspired by an image found on Pinterest.

I first started with a sponged background. I used a gray polish to make it "dirty" like in the original picture. I'm not sure you can really see it, but I can see it (maybe because I know it's there).

What I like with the abstract side of this mani is that I could do everything I wanted and it still looked cool.

THUMB. Hello to you!

The overall effect was pretty cool IRL. I like these mani that look so complicate and everything when really it's quite simple. Do you?

Happy polishing!

WNAC - Black And White

Hello!

Today's the last day of the WNAC, the January at least. The "matte month" is coming to an end and for this week's prompt, the theme was black and white.

I decided to make some lines to practice a little bit more my skills at freehanded lines. Even though, they are not what I had planned exactly in my head I really like the result.

31DC version 2.0: Day 25: Abstraction

I swear.. After this post, I'm done for the day.. I had a little bit of catch-up to do, since I didn't post for a long time..

When I began this challenge back in September(?), it was one of those prompt I had already found my inspiration and it was just waiting in a file, on my computer to be done.

The main idea on this prompt was to do a rainbow spotted-gradient and adding lines (like a graffiti) randomly.
