TNAG - Rainbows

Hello!

Today's happiness is brought to you by The Nail Art Guild. This week, the prompt was rainbows.

RAINBOW. I LOVE RAINBOW.

There's just so much ideas that came to my mind that I had a hard time choosing.

While I was struggling with too much ideas, my package from Born Pretty Store came. I ordered a bunch of stamping plates, hoping the Stamping Gods would be with me when the right time come.

I was "Oooh" "Ahhh"-ing the plates when I noticed a pattern I really liked (I liked almost every design haha.) It was something graphic and I knew that it would look so cool in black over a gradient. With few hope, I tried to stamp on a sheet and HAALLLLEEELUJAH, the design came out perfectly! I was so happy! I decided, then, to do the ultimate test. On my nails, that is.

WNAC - Black And White

Hello!

Today's the last day of the WNAC, the January at least. The "matte month" is coming to an end and for this week's prompt, the theme was black and white.

I decided to make some lines to practice a little bit more my skills at freehanded lines. Even though, they are not what I had planned exactly in my head I really like the result.

52 Week Challenge - Fishbraid

Hello!

Last week I didn't do the prompts for the 52 Weeks Challenge but this week I'm back on track!

Fishbraid mani is one of the things I have never done before. I don't know why exactly. Maybe I was a little bit scared of trying something new. After my experience today with this kind of mani, I can say that this was kind of really easy and it has a neat effect in the end.

Shall we see?

Dry Watermarble Made It Easy - Purple and White

Hello to you, Reader!
A few months ago, I tried the dry watermarble technique and did a mani I never had the opportunity to post until now. I followed a tutorial on Instagram and also the instructions of Pshiiit to make the technique successful.

I was really happy with the result, so let's take a look!

Inspired By: SimplyNailogical's Neon Holo Jellies Skitttle

Hello!

Lately I bought the Neon Galaxy Set from Beyond The Nail (because of SimplyNailogical haha) and I was dying to do her neon holo jellies skittle.

I started by doing a clear to black gradient on my nails then applied a coat of the neon holo jelly. I was little bit impatient and not careful enough so it all smeared and it was a disaster. We couldn't see the gradient anymore! I wanted to do this mani too quickly so I guess this is my fault.

The next day, I started over with a white to black gradient, let it dried thoroughly and then, I applied a thin coat of different jelly on my nails. HALLELUJAH! It worked! I waited a few more minutes and went over the part where it had the white part of the gradient (I don't know if it makes sense haha) and applied a second coat of jelly.

It was really easy to do, I swear. Only a traditional gradient and two coat of holo goodness in jellies. I had to use all of my new Beyond The Nail's polishes, because they are so pretty!

The colors in the bottle don't really show the neon-ness, but you'll have to trust me, they are BRIGHT!

A shot of Mr.Thumb because we don't really see him often.

You see that holo sparkle. Me likey!

I hope you liked this mani. t was totally inspired by @simplynailogical, so all the credits go to her for being awesome and creating such cool manis!

Happy polishing!

TNAG - 7 Deadly Sins

Hello!

The Nail Art Guild is back and for this occasion the theme was 7 Deadly Sins. I must admit that was a really hard theme to do. I struggled to find something interesting and finally I think I found something!

The seven deadly sins are anger, pride, lust, envy, greed, gluttony and sloth. I was really tempted to do a sloth inspired mani, it would have been really easy. I would have just apply one base coat and tada!

Just kidding. I chose to do gluttony, because who doesn't love food, right? I looked everywhere and couldn't find nothing that was really suiting my needs. I finally found a print on Pinterest and decided to recreate it.

Nailmail Of The Week!

Heeeeeellooo!

Like I said last week, this week I was expecting a  huuuge package from Harlow and Co and surprise it came!

It was my biggest order ever of nail polishes and I was so excited to have everything in my hands. I know for some people I am a little bit compulsive when it comes to nail polish.... so what?

haha

Follow me to see what I got! :

WNAC - Dotticure

Hello to you!

The theme was dotticure, but since I don't really like to do dotticures, I decided to add a twist to the prompt.

I made a catticure :D

52 Week Challenge - Film

Hello, Reader!

This blog post is long overdue, I was supposed to write it Tuesday, but I was working finally so I couldn't.

The theme for this week was Film and Holo. I couldn't think of something clever for the holo part, so I only took the film part.

A few weeks ago, I saw +Nailingtons on IG doing a "Hobbit" mani and I knew right away I wanted to try. This prompt was the occasion I needed. I followed her tutorial on Youtube and everything went smooth. The only regret I have is that the mani didn't last long, because of the matte top coat. It started chipping after only two days. :( I will definitely have to do this mani again!

Nailmail Of the Week!

Hello, Reader!

This week has been rich in nailmail. I had to be on a no-buy for a few months (I know, nightmares come to life) and now that I am back in the game I went crazy and buy A LOT of new nail polishes. But that's okay, because I will use all of them soon. My mind is racing with ideas!!

Let's take a look, shall we?

My first package was from NailPolishCanada.com :

The picture is taken from my IG account. I got 2 Let It Shine Topcoat by Essie (they were half price, I think!), Resort Fling and Wicked also by Essie and Chillin' Like A Villain by OPI. They were giving a free gift with all orders, so I chose to take the detailed-brush for nail art! All others things pictured in the photo is free gift and samples: lollipops, nail file, self-tanning lotion and Gain sample. That's just how cool they are!

Second nail mail I got this week is from Renaissance Cosmetics! Let's see what I got:

I am so pleased with my order. These polishes looks so good in the bottles, I can't wait to see how they look on my nails! The mini is "Reverie" from her new collection. It will make me wait for her restock.. CAN'T WAIT.

Third package was from Beyond The Nail. I got this set, mainly because of Cristine at SimplyNailogical. She made a holo jelly skittle with these polishes and since then I was dreaming of recreating them. I took the opportunity to grab them before they were gone! The purple and the pink are waaaay more flashy in real life. I don't know why my camera don't want to capture the real color!

Lastly the fourth package was from a destash store on Storenvy. I bought four Colors By Llarowe. Two of them were on my wishlist for a while and the other two were too pretty to passed this opportunity.

Independence Day and Little Red Corvette were the ones on my wishlisht. Purple Pizzaz and Anna's Adventure are really pretty so I had no choice to take them. I swear. I'm weak, I know.

Well, that's all for the nailmail this week. I'm waiting for a gigantic order from Harlow and Co and a more modest one from Meimeisignatures next week. I'm already excited to receive the packages!

Happy polishing!

WNAC - January - Week 2 : (Scaled) Gradient

Hello, Reader!

For week two, the theme was originally gradient. SimplyNailogical decided to hijacked the theme and made it scaled gradient. Since I first did a scaled gradient, I have been wanting to do another again. Now was the perfect occasion to practice more this new-to-me technique!

I received Tuesday nailmail from NailPolishCanada.com and I had the perfect color combo. However one of the colors I chose was too jelly and wouldn't blend with the other :( I, then, went in my untried box and found something that matched exactly what I was going for!

52 Week Challenge - Dotting Tool + Pink and Aqua

Hello, Reader!

Finally, the last nail challenge I'm taking part in is the 52 Week Challenge created by, Debbie Crumpet of The Crumpet. To join the challenge you may have to be member of a secret group on Facebook. Buut shhhh. I didn't tell you.

So, the theme for this week was dotting tools and pink and aqua. DOTTICURE it is then!

I haven't done a dotticure in a long while, so I was happy to do this prompt. I say happy, but I also mean scared. Scared because dotticure look so innocent until you try to align evey dots, make them the same size, etc.

Try Those Untrieds! - Renaissances Cosmetics "Wanderlust" Swatch

Hello to you, Reader!

A few days ago I swatched Emerald Envy, and while I was doing this I decided it was time to try Wanderlust too after months of sitting in my untried box.. (Also, I wanted to have used all my Renaissance Cosmetics polishes before I received more!)

The Nail Art Guild - Retro

Hello to you, Reader!

The second nail art challenge I will join for now is The Nail Art Guild. I can't  tell you who created this challenge exactly as I can't remember right now (Doris, anyone?)

Anyways!

For my first time, the prompt was retro. Oh boy, I had so much trouble finding inspiration for the prompt! I searched Google, Pinterest and Shutterstock to find something I liked. It took me two days to find a design I could recreate.

The first attempt was a semi-failure, so I swiped it off and made another one. I like this one much better, to be honest.

Weekly Nail Art Challenge (WNAC) - January - Week 1: Flakies

Hello, Reader!

Happy New Year! I hope this year brings you everything you hope/want and more!

Like I said in one of my previous post, this year I want to be more involve in the nail art world. I want to try new techniques and be part of few challenges. I want to be better and I want to meet awesome new people. I like doing my nails and I like to have a goal.

So, for this first post of the year 2015, I decided to take part of the WNAC (Weekly Nail Art Challenge). @simplynailogical, @missbellatracey and  @kgrdnr on Instagram are the ones who started this challenge and it looks fun, so I will join this one for few prompts this year!

The theme for January is matte, so all the mani in this challenge must have something matte or be completely matte with a plus each week. Like, for example, this week is flakies...

MATTE ALL THE FLAKIES..!! - @mcpolish.

For my mani, I tried to do something original instead of just putting a matte topcoat over some random polish with flakies.

This is what I came up with:
